1. A NIGHTMARE OF CRIME

Why Go: Written and directed by Jack Winget, it is the story of the Sonderkommando, Jewish prisoners who were forced to aid in the extermination of other prisoners.

Pricing: $12 adults, $10 seniors, children and students

2. POKER FUN NIGHT

Where/When: Assumption Family Center, 9138 Broadview Rd., Broadview Heights;  from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday

Why Go: Open tables include Texas Hold'em, Blackjack and Let-It-Ride. Must be 18 and older.

Pricing: Admission is $5 for buffet, snacks and soft drinks. The Texas Hold'em Tournament is $50 buy-in.

3. ALL IN THE TIMING

Where/When: Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater, 9543 Broadview Rd., Broadview Heights; at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Why Go: It's the theater's annual coffeehouse production. Enjoy six one-act plays and an extended intermission that features gourmet coffees, teas and desserts from local bakeries.

Pricing: $10

4. SHOT! (REQUIEM FOR A BULLET)

Where/When: Stage Door at EJ Thomas Hall, The University of Akron, 198 Hill St., Akron; at 8 p.m. Friday

Why Go: This is a fact-based drama inspired by interviews with residents of North Philadelphia. It's presented by University Theatre in honor of Black History Month, and it is recommended for adult audiences.

Pricing: $10

Where/When: The , 11921 Parkview Rd., Brecksville; from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: If the weather cooperates,  the carriage will take you to Ottawa Point picnic area and back. Enjoy cookies and hot cocoa afterwards. 

Pricing: $35 for a couple; $50 for four.
