Get to Know: The New Executive Director of the Brecksville Center for the Arts

John Klassen has only been the executive director of the for about two weeks, but he’s already working to make changes that, he hopes, will make the center more inviting. 

For example, Klassen said he wants to overhaul the center’s website, making it more contemporary and user-friendly. That means he’d like to see more visuals on the page and more interactive aspects, like a way to pay for classes online. 

He wants the building to feel open, as well, and he said he values people’s opinions. He feels it’s important to get information out in the public and to get the public’s input and ideas.

Klassen said he’s spent some of his first weeks getting to know Brecksville, and that’s he’s impressed with the city’s sense of community.
