Two ways to enjoy the snow, two history lessons and one chance to feed a free-flying bird: pick and choose from this week’s array of events.

• SNOW TUBING AT POLAR BLAST

Where/When: Boston Mills/Brandywine, 1146 West Highland Rd., Northfield, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: Take advantage of the fresh snow and go snow tubing, but be sure to check the day's snow report before heading out.

Pricing: A regular, three-hour ticket is $25 for adults and children over 7, and $15 for children under 6. Unlimited, all-day tickets are $59.

• FAMILY FRIDAY NIGHT: SLEDDING

Where/When: North Chagrin Reservation, SOM Center and Eddy roads in Willoughby Hills, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday

Why Go: It's another option for all the new snow. Enjoy family time and glide down the sledding hill. Hot chocolate will be provided.

THE CENTER OF IT ALL

Where/When:  , 9089 Brecksville Rd., Cleveland, 2 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: You and your kids can learn about Brecksville's 200-year history. The program is part of  a series of Bicentennial-themed presentations.

Pricing: Free.

HAND FEED A CHICKADEE

Where/When: Brecksville Nature Center, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday

Why Go: You'll get the opportunity to feed a free-flying bird while it sits in your hands. The Nature Center will show you how and provide the sunflower seeds.

Pricing: Free


Where/When: Brecksville Station, 13512 Station Rd., Brecksville, 1:45  p.m. Sunday

Why Go: Take a ride on the storytelling train and hear the tales of runaway slaves. Costumed actors and actresses will bring the past back to life.
