High School Dismissal Time Changing This Week

Students at will be getting out of class a little bit earlier starting Wednesday. 

Principal Joseph Mueller said there was too much traffic with people picking up students at the high school and at the end of the day, which was backing up the schedules for the elementary school buses. That delay meant elementary school students were getting home later. 

According to the high school’s website, the new dismissal time will be 2:24 p.m. The dismissal time at the beginning of the year was 2:30 p.m. At the beginning of the year, , which was designed to give students more time in class. The dismissal time was 10 minutes later than it had been in the past.

Classes—not lunches—will be shortened by one minute to make up the difference, Mueller said.
