Last Chance: Brush Pickup This Week
Place your tree and shrub clippings near the street for the city to chip.
OK, so this one is a bit of a first and last chance kind of deal.
Once a year, the city picks up brush from residents’ yards—at no cost to residents—and chips it to use as mulch around town. This year, that pick-up begins on Monday and ends on Friday.
According to the Service Department’s website, residents who want to take part need to put the brush on their tree lawn without using rope or twine. Residents also need to make sure there are no roots or soil attached to the brush. For more details, check the department’s site.

So get out there and do some spring-cleaning on your yard this week. Not only will your yard be the envy of the neighborhood, but you’ll know you had a hand in keeping Brecksville’s landscape beautiful all summer.
