Multitasking Momma: The Big Day
The author's daughter knows that it isn't her big day, but she's still going to celebrate in a BIG way.
Those 95-degree days were killing me! I swear, I was complaining about the rain. But, I think we bypassed the entire summer and are now fully in the throes of August.
But, if that were the case, we would have skipped right over the one day my daughter has been talking about practically every single day for the past year. No, not her birthday: Uncle Matt and Aunt Lauren’s wedding.
You see, my daughter is their flower girl, and you would think the entire world will stop so that she can grab handfuls of silk flower petals from a little white basket and drop them on the floor.

My brother and his fiancée have no idea just how excited this little girl is.
This little girl of mine has already decided that she doesn’t want to leave the reception early so she’s determined to stay up the entire time. And she wants to stay in a hotel. Cupcakes were the perfect choice instead of a traditional cake. Their DJ had better look out: Amelia has several song requests all prepared and she will dance her little heart out that August evening. She knows it’s not her wedding, of course, but she still thinks it still her big day.

In the meantime, we are looking forward to Lauren’s bridal shower and her shower gift is all picked out (she made it just for the two of you, Matt and Lauren).
Have your kids been in weddings before? Do you have a great flower girl or ring bearer story to share? Please, do tell!
