New Contract for Superintendent Scot Prebles
The Board of Education approved the superintendent's new, four-year contract on Monday.

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education approved a new contract for the superintendent during its .
Superintendent Scot Prebles was hired last year. The old contract was set to end on July 31, 2013, but the new contract ensures his position with the district until July 31, 2015.
His overall compensation will remain the same, although some changes are being made to the way administrators’ retirement funds are paid for, said Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer Karen E. Obratil.

The superintendent’s base salary is about $156,000, she said.
According to a press release from the board, there are no built-in salary increases in the new contract and Prebles will increase his health care contribution from 10 percent to 15 percent.

Prebles said after the meeting that he was excited to sign on to additional time at the district, noting that he thinks it’s a great district and that he’d like to see the things they’re implementing through. He added that he’s thankful to the board and the community for accepting and supporting him as superintendent.
