No Signs of Foul Play in Meadow Lane Fire

Fire Chief Ed Egut said there were no signs of foul play in the that took place last Friday. 

Egut said the Southwest Emergency Response Team’s Fire Investigation Unit determined that the fire most likely began in the home’s fireplace.

No one was living in the home at the time, but Egut said there was work being done in the building, and people had been burning scraps of wood in the fireplace.  

The home suffered significant damage in the fire, Egut said.
