Photos of the Day: City Unveils the Bicentennial Memorial

The city of Brecksville officially dedicated its Sunday evening, but the site is far from complete.

It will be made into a place of reflection, complete with benches to sit on and plaques that outline the city’s history. Brecksville Bicentennial Committee Co-Chair Frank DeWolf said the site will also be where are buried.

Mayor Jerry N. Hruby also addressed the small crowd who gathered to see the memorial’s dedication. He said the site would serve the same purpose as the – it’s both a reminder that the city had aged another 100 years and a “symbol” of the community.
