Diamondbacks beat the Indians 3-2, sweep the Tribe

The Arizona Diamondbacks concluded their sweep of the American League Champion Cleveland Indians on Sunday with a 3-2 win at Chase Field, giving them six wins in their first seven games.
The Tribe followed up its season-opening sweep of the Texas Rangers with a sweeping of its own by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The top of the seventh inning was paused THREE TIMES to allow instant replay reviews. The entire half inning took thirty minutes to play due to the confusion and chaos initiated by the replays and no one still knows what actually happened.

Even with the chaos and the Tribe bats not hitting, the Tribe still had a chance. After two combined shutout innings by Andrew Miller and Cody Allen, the Tribe mounted a comeback.
With Cleveland down 3-1, Yan Gomes reached on third baseman Jake Lamb's throwing error and scored on Abraham Almonte's one-out single. Carlos Santana just missed giving the Tribe the lead when he flew out to the wall in front of the swimming pool in right field. Diamondbacks' closer Fernando Rodney then struck out Francisco Lindor to end the game. Fernando Rodney earned his second save in the dramatic ninth.

The Indians went 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position on Sunday.
The Tribe's loaded lineup managed just seven runs in the series, and both of their runs on Sunday were unearned.
Austin Jackson got his first start of the season with his new team and went 1-for-4 with a double, which ended up as the Tribe's only extra-base hit on Sunday. Edwin Encarnacion went 2-for-3 with two singles.
Tribe starter Corey Kluber (0-1) scattered eight hits in six innings, allowing three runs, two earned, striking out four and walking one.
Diamondbacks' starter Patrick Corbin (1-1) gave up four hits in six innings, struck out three and walked two.
