Update: Suspicious Package at Heinen’s Shopping Plaza Found to Be Non-Explosive

Update, 12:49 p.m.: The suspicious package found earlier today in Brecksville was found to be non-explosive, according to a press release from the .  

According to the release, a employee notified the department of a suspicious package outside of the bank at about 8:42 a.m. on Thursday. Officers and the bomb squad responded to the scene. After the bomb squad examined the package, they found it to be non-explosive and dismantled it. The area is now open to the public.
