Tickets on Sale Now for the Annual Firefighters Association Clambake

The Brecksville Firefighters Association’s annual clambake started as a way to raise money for equipment, President Ralph Swasey said. 

More than 40 years later, the tradition has continued, but the money raised now benefits a variety of causes, such as schools.

“We give most of it away,” Swasey said. 

The event will be held on Sept. 10 this year. Dinner will start at 6 p.m. and be served until 9 p.m. Swasey said the rest of the evening—dancing, raffles and prize giveaways—will get started at 8 p.m. and last until midnight. 

According to information from the city, the event will take place in the service garage, and parking is available in the municipal lot.

Tickets are $35 and cover the cost of food and drinks. Guests can also buy extra clams for $10. If guests don’t want dinner, it costs $20 to enter, Swasey said. And he added that kids 12 and under who aren’t eating dinner are free. 

Swasey said tickets must be purchased by Sept. 8. Tickets can be purchased through the .
