Tickets on Sale Now for the Annual Firefighters Association Clambake
Tickets for Saturday's event must be purchased by Thursday.

The Brecksville Firefighters Associationβs annual clambake started as a way to raise money for equipment, President Ralph Swasey said.Β
More than 40 years later, the tradition has continued, but the money raised now benefits a variety of causes, such as schools.

The event will be held on Sept. 10 this year. Dinner will start at 6 p.m. and be served until 9 p.m. Swasey said the rest of the eveningβdancing, raffles and prize giveawaysβwill get started at 8 p.m. and last until midnight.Β
According to information from the city, the event will take place in the service garage, and parking is available in the municipal lot.

Tickets are $35 and cover the cost of food and drinks. Guests can also buy extra clams for $10. If guests donβt want dinner, it costs $20 to enter, Swasey said. And he added that kids 12 and under who arenβt eating dinner are free.Β
