Dedication … patients … understanding. These are just a few of the words used to describe speech language pathologist Toni Congeni, winner of The Village at Marymount’s March Franciscan Spirit Award.
“Toni is dedicated to provide exemplary care to patients,” said Megan Percaciante, Director of Rehabilitation Services. “She is kind, patient, and understanding of both the patient and family needs.”
Congeni sharpened her skills as a clinician by becoming trained and certified in the administering of VitalStim therapy. She also has appeared on WKYC-TV3’s “Live on Lakeside” discussing this form of therapy.

“Toni is always happy and very positive,” said Executive Director Sue Nall. “Residents pick up on this fact and it is a good thing for them to see.”
Several of Congeni’s cohorts in the Rehab Department nominated her for the award. “Toni is always patient and kind,” said Carole Halberg, an occupational therapy assistant and herself a past Franciscan Spirit Award winner in March 2012.
