Two Slots Available at Brecksville Cooperative Preschool

Typically, parents are subjected to a long waiting list for this award-winning school, but two slots for 3-year-olds have just opened for 2011-2012.

Two coveted spots for the school's 3-year-old class have opened up at the Brecksville Cooperative Preschool for the 2011-2012 school year. One space is available for the morning class and one is available for the afternoon class.

3-year-old classes are held on Monday and Tuesday; morning classes are held 9:30-11:30 a.m. and afternoon classes are 12:30-2:30 p.m. All registered children must by age 3 by Sept. 30 and fully potty-trained.

Tuition for the 3-year-old class is $800 per year. There is a $60 enrollment fee as well as the purchase of two tickets to the annual fundraiser ($120 additional).

As a preschool co-op, parents have an active role in the day-to-day operations of the school. At least one parent from each family serves on a committee or board, participates as a parent helper on select days and assists with the school fundraiser.

The school, at the Blossom Hill Complex in Brecksville, was established in 1952 and is the only school in the southwest suburbs to receive a Step Up To Quality 3-Star rating.  This rating is based on several benchmarks including low child-to-staff ratios, group size, accreditation, staff education, specialized training, improved workplace characteristics and early learning standards.

Enrollment Information is available by calling  Ines Lascu at 440-717-0505 or visiting the school’s website.
