Update on the Greater Cleveland Amateur Golf Championship

The 2011 Greater Cleveland Amateur Golf Championship was held this weekend at the in Brecksville. 

According to a press release from the Cleveland Metroparks, Pete Skirpstas of Medina took first place. 

The course is part of the Brecksville Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. The at the Sleepy Hollow course championship did not place in the top 25. Skirpstas was the Sleepy Hollow course champion in July.

According to the press release, the championship was shortened by weather for the first time ever. Skirpstas and the runner-up, Andrew Bailey of Rocky River, had a play-off, since they were tied after the second round. Skirpstas won on the first hole in the play-off round.
