Weekend Reminders: Fundraisers, Festivals and Free Music

There’s a lot going on this weekend in and near Brecksville. Here’s a quick overview:

  • The starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. The event is part of Rush for a Cause, a group started by a former student for athletes with serious injuries. 
  • Looking for a festival? Both the Feast of the Assumption in Broadview Heights and the Cuyahoga County Fair continue this weekend. Learn more about the county fair on , and check out this for more details on the Broadview Heights festival.
  • The Brecksville Historical Association is holding its annual corn roast starting at 1 p.m. this Sunday. According to the association’s website, tours of the Squire Rich House will be available.
  • And there are a few opportunities for free music. According to the city’s website, there’s another free concert on Public Square this Sunday. The event starts at 6 p.m. And there’s also a free concert at the Brecksville Nature Center in the Brecksville Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. According to the Metroparks website, the event lasts from 2 to 3 p.m.
