Who Did Brecksville Pick on Super Tuesday?

Republican voters in the city were strongly in favor of Mitt Romney.

Statewide, Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney earned about 38 percent of the vote, according to unofficial numbers from the Secretary of State. His opponent, Rick Santorum, earned a bit more than 37 percent. That’s right—less than a percent separated the two.

But Brecksville voters cast their ballots overwhelmingly in Romney’s favor. According to unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, there were 2,379 Republican ballots cast in Brecksville. About 54 percent of those were for Romney. Only about 27 percent were in favor of Santorum.

Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul both fared a little worse in Brecksville than . Gingrich got about 12 percent of the vote in Brecksville, and Paul had about 6 percent.
