Stark Auditor Sets Record Straight on Confusing Video (whbc.com) — Stark County's auditor is warning Canton-area residents, especially seniors, about misleading YouTube videos falsely claiming a new federal property tax break and a 'Senior Homeowner Tax Review Request' form. She stresses that no such federal program exists and urges homeowners to rely on official sources while using legitimate options like Ohio's Homestead Exemption for tax relief.
2. Canton, Ohio Police Chief Responds After Video of Handcuffed Minor on Porch Goes Viral (theqgentleman.com) — Canton's police chief is responding after video of officers briefly handcuffing a minor on a Highland Road NE porch went viral, prompting public concern. The department says the teen was quickly cleared and released, while the wanted suspect was later arrested nearby, and an internal review of officers' conduct is underway.
3. Teenage arsonist sentenced for setting Jackson Township carport fires (cantonrep.com) — A Jackson Township teen who set two February carport fires at Lake Cable Village Apartments has been ordered into a secure Community Corrections Facility run from Canton Township. He faces additional suspended sentences for assaulting a staff member and damaging Canton Local Schools equipment, and could be sent to state juvenile prison if he fails the program. WATCH: Pilot makes rare emergency landing at Ohio airport (kdvr.com) — An experienced pilot safely pulled off a rare emergency landing at Akron-Canton Airport after the jet's front landing gear failed to deploy. Emergency crews from the area stood by as the pilot circled, then touched down keeping the nose up to avoid a crash. Both people aboard walked away uninjured, and federal investigators are reviewing what went wrong.

Pilot makes rare emergency landing at Ohio airport (newsnationnow.com) — A NetJets Cessna Citation made a tense emergency landing at Akron-Canton Airport after its front landing gear failed to deploy, but both people aboard walked away unhurt. Local aviation experts and first responders praised the pilot's skillful touchdown on Runway 1 as federal and state investigators review the rare incident.
