What to know about the Stark County Fair (indeonline.com) — Canton-area residents can gear up for the Stark County Fair, running Sept. 1–7 with wiener dog races, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and concerts from Jason Bonham and Trace Adkins. Downtown favorite George's Lounge will serve its gourmet burgers on-site, alongside Lerch's doughnuts, creative milkshakes, and plenty of midway rides, veterans' celebrations, and special-access programs for kids with disabilities.
   

• 110 miles, one road, and Ohio's entire industrial story unfolds along it (wheninyourstate.com) — Canton sits on a scenic spur of the 110-mile Ohio & Erie Canalway, a drive that links Cleveland to New Philadelphia while passing waterfalls, historic canal locks, and living-history villages. Local residents can easily hop on near Massillon-Canton to ride the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, walk the Towpath Trail, or take a horse-drawn canal boat from nearby Canal Fulton.
