• More Wayne Measles Cases, Health Officials Stress Vaccinations (whbc.com) — With measles cases rising in nearby Wayne County, Canton's health commissioner is urging parents to keep children up to date on vaccinations. While Stark County has no confirmed cases so far, Canton residents can use Monday vaccination clinics to protect their families and help prevent the disease from spreading closer to home.
   

• Thousands of Stark County residents without power amid heat wave (cantonrep.com) — Thousands of Stark County residents, including many near Canton, are without power this morning just as temperatures are expected to climb into the 90s. American Electric Power Ohio reports most outages around Jackson Township, with restoration not expected until late morning, while a broader heat advisory covers much of Ohio even as Stark still faces significant heat.
   

• The man behind the '50s Packers, and a push to get into Canton (wearegreenbay.com) — Canton's Pro Football Hall of Fame is at the center of a renewed push to recognize former Green Bay Packers scout Jack Vainisi, credited with helping assemble the legendary Lombardi-era teams. His family is urging football fans to send recommendation letters to the Hall in Canton as he appears on the ballot for the third year.
