'You Matter:' Local leaders read, share messages with Canton students (cantonrep.com) — Canton City Schools second graders got special encouragement as local leaders and Divine Nine volunteers visited eight buildings to read "All Because You Matter" and stress that every child's dreams are possible. The event kicked off Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic weekend in Canton and highlighted role models with deep local roots returning to inspire students.

Stark to spray for mosquitoes in Canton, Lake and Plain townships (cantonrep.com) — Stark County Health Department crews will spray for mosquitoes after 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 in Canton Township just south of Canton city limits, with additional spraying in Lake Township on Sept. 8 and Plain Township on Sept. 9. Canton Man Faces 'Reckless' Charge in City's Latest Homicide - News-Talk 1480 WHBC (whbc.com) — Canton residents are learning more about the city's latest homicide, in which a 21-year-old woman was fatally shot inside a home Tuesday afternoon. An 18-year-old man now faces a reckless homicide charge and an additional tampering-with-evidence count in Canton Municipal Court after allegedly moving the gun following the incident.
   

5. Roman Stone to Supply EZ-KEY Precast Duct Bank System for Canton Hyperscale Data Center (geneonline.com) — A major new hyperscale data center is being built in Canton, and Roman Stone's EZ-KEY precast duct bank system has been chosen to handle its underground utility infrastructure. The standardized concrete components are meant to streamline site development and protect critical power and communications lines, signaling a significant long-term tech investment in the city.
