4. Man busted in Ohio for trying to buy 50,000 stamps using a fraudulent check (fox5atlanta.com) — Chardon Police responded to a local post office in August after a man allegedly tried to buy 50,000 stamps with a counterfeit check, leading to the discovery of a fake Ohio ID and check. A 24‑year‑old New York resident now faces attempted grand theft and forgery charges and is being held in Geauga County jail.
