New Cincinnati hotel causes heartburn for community council (local12.com) โ€” A new Tru by Hilton hotel is still planned next to the Corryville Kroger, after the Cincinnati Planning Commission unanimously approved air rights for the project. The 117-room hotel would sit above a two-story garage, preserving existing grocery parking while raising concerns within the neighborhood's community council.

2. 911 calls released after Norwood birthday party shooting (fox19.com) โ€” One person is hospitalized after a shooting at a Norwood birthday party, and newly released 911 calls reveal the fear and chaos neighbors and guests experienced. Callers described a security worker being shot as people ran for cover, while dispatchers tried to keep them calm and coordinated the response. Norwood police are still searching for the shooter and asking anyone with information to come forward.

Cincinnati Children's mobile care center to bring health services to Colerain, Northwest high schools (wcpo.com) โ€” Cincinnati Children's is sending its Mobile Care Center to Colerain and Northwest high schools, offering students in the Northwest Local School District convenient on-campus primary and preventive care. Beginning Sept. 9, the 39-foot clinic will visit each school monthly, aiming to cut chronic absenteeism and ease the burden on working parents while serving adolescents from across the district.

Northern Kentucky mom honors daughter lost to leukemia with annual toy drive for sick kids (wcpo.com) โ€” A Burlington mother is honoring her late daughter Tessa by running an annual toy drive for childhood cancer patients at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. 5. THC drinks are slowly coming back to Ohio breweries and shelves: Why now, and how long will it last? A federal judge's orders and a new permanent injunction now allow sales at least through December, while breweries watch upcoming elections and possible new federal and state regulations that could change the rules again.
