- A Cincinnati animal shelter is looking for emergency foster homes for dogs after one of its three main kennels lost heat. Cincinnati Animal CARE staff say the county is working to fix it and they've set up space heaters, but they don't have anywhere to move the dogs. Those who are able to foster for at least one week are asked to apply. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- A Cincinnati man has been charged after he conspired with others to perpetrate an online romance fraud scheme and to launder the proceeds of the scheme, including by wiring funds to Ghana. 23-year-old De-love Kofi Amuzu was arrested in the Bronx on Jan. 13 and has been charged with conspiring to commit and committing wire and mail fraud, as well as conspiring to launder money and committing money laundering. Allegedly, Amuzu and others would create fake profiles using false information and lead the victims to believe they were in a romantic relationship so they would send them money or valuables.
