🌱 BMV Express Kiosks Now In Stores + Combatting Firefighter Shortage

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cincinnati.

Hello, hello. I'm here with your Thursday edition of the Cincinnati Daily, filled with everything you need to know about what's happening in town.I'll get right to it.

First, today's weather:

Mostly sunny and warm. High: 86 Low: 59.

Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Ohio's new BMV Express kiosks are now in some stores in the Great Cincinnati area. The self-service kiosks will work like an ATM-like machine, allowing customers to pay for their vehicle registration and license plate stickers. One of the kiosks is located at the Kroger in Oakley on Marburg Avenue and another is at the Meijer in Fairfield. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  2. Cincinnati has more than 300 firefighters who are eligible to retire, while fewer people are applying for the jobs. Other Tri-State area communities are facing the same shortage of firefighters and paramedics. In response to the problem, the Colerain Township Department of Fire and EMS is starting a new Cadet Program for people between the ages of 14 and 18. (WVXU)
  3. Neighbors in West Price Hill claim that the City of Cincinnati has been unresponsive to their complaints over a pile of smelly trash that was dumped out in front of a house by former tenants. Sandy, a local resident who lives near the trash, said the stench has gotten worse and she's also seen rats. "The city refuses to come pick up the garbage," she added. (Local 12)
