'Brain Dead' Hamilton Toddler Dies, Dad Says; Babysitter Charged
Hanna Wesche was found unresponsive with labored breathing and obvious bruises on March 8. Her family told WCPO-TV she died early Sunday.

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, OH — A 3-year-old Hamilton girl who was beaten and shaken to death allegedly at the hands of her babysitter has died, a local media outlet reported. Emergency responders found toddler Hanna Wesche unresponsive on the morning of March 8, the Butler County Sheriff's office said in a release. She had "labored breathing" and there were "obvious bruises about her head and face," the office said.
The girl was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Early Sunday, the girl died, her father told WCPO-TV. She was declared dead just after midnight at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center after being essentially "brain dead," he said.
Babysitter Lindsay Partin, 35, of Hanover Township, admitted she hit the child and told authorities Hanna had fallen and struck her head on the concrete garage floor the previous day, authorities said.
