CET Offering Child-Friendly Programmes During Coronavirus Shutdown In Cincinnati
The standards-based programs were developed in cooperation with local and regional educators.

CET, ThinkTV and PBS are changing daytime programming to include more educational and child-friendly shows to keep students engaged in learning while school buildings are closed.

The new programming brings additional resources within easy reach of Cincinnati Public Schools' students who are close to completing a second month of home schooling. It's available to all families; cable or internet access is not necessary to view CET, Channel 48, Cincinnati's local PBS station.
The new programming airs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday on CET and will be updated weekly. A detailed schedule is available on CET's website.

The programming comes from national sources such as NOVA and the Genius by Stephen Hawking series, and covers subjects from outer space to history to adventure.
Shows are grouped by grade level, starting at 7 a.m. with preschool to third grade; 9 a.m. for grades 4 to 8; and 1 p.m. for grades 9 to 12. The standards-based programs were developed in cooperation with local and regional educators.
