Ready for exploring this summer at camp? Cincinnati Parks’ Explore Nature! section offers one week award-winning summer camps at various locations for ages 3 1/2 – 14 years old. By our very nature, our team strives to serve all people of all backgrounds with the goal to instill and foster a sense of wonder in the world around us. Our camps include daily hikes, games, live animal encounters, experiments and make & take projects to keep campers active all day.

Campers should be:

  • Toilet trained and able to use the toilet without assistance.
  • Able to stay with their assigned group with minimum reminders.
  • Able to explore the natural world and move themselves along trails, over uneven ground, up and down hills, and across bridges and streams.
  • Able to interact with their peers in group games and activities and maintain appropriate self-control in social situations.

    • We are happy to make reasonable accommodations with adequate advance notice. Parents with questions regarding the staffing needed to meet a child’s needs should contact us at 513-321-6070. Cincinnati Parks has a zero tolerance policy on drugs and violence.

    Cincinnati Parks is committed to providing a safe environment for our campers and staff. Due to current circumstances with the COVID-19 pandemic we will be following the State, Center for Disease Control (CDC,) and American Camp Association (ACA) guidelines to keep everyone safe.  These include:

  • Adhering to the 12:1 child to staff ratio, with each group treated as a “cohort” to limit contact between groups
  • Campers are encouraged to remain socially distanced at all times and cohorts will not combine
  • Mandatory hand sanitizing and a daily healthcare assessment for staff and campers
  • All campers must be sent to camp with a mask.  Campers are required to wear a mask during camp. Mask breaks will be given throughout the day, outside, when appropriate.
  • Counselors will always wear masks when interacting with camp families and caregivers and when in proximity to campers – less than 6’ if in their own cohort, 15’ if near a different cohort
  • Check-in procedure includes taking each camper’s temperature and answering questions about symptoms and exposures. Check-in policy states that any individual answering “yes” to any questions or with a fever of 100 degrees or higher may not stay at camp.
  • Adults are asked to stay in their vehicles and wear a facial covering during check-in/check-out
  • Cincinnati Parks will fully honor refunds at any time a camp family chooses to withdraw their camper(s) registration due to COVID-19 concerns.
  • Cincinnati Parks will refund camp if we must cancel camp due to infectious diseases.
  • Cincinnati Parks will not refund in the event of weather that either causes campers to be picked up early or to entirely miss a day of camp.
  • Must be at least 13 years old
  • Complete the application process
  • Minimum One week, max two weeks commitment, every day of the week, for half-day or full day camps. Half-day (9:30 – 11:30 or 9:30 – 1:30). Full-day (9:00 – 3:30).
