Salvia

  • Thrillers are usually vertical, such as phormium, canna, calla pennisetum or upright fuchsia. For cool season displays use kale, swiss chard, or Juncus.
  • Fillers tend to be horizontal or weaving, such as heliotrope, osteospermum, petunia, coleus or impatiens. For cool season displays use pansies or violas.
  • Spillers are cascading, such as helichrysum, ipomea or callibrachoa.
