Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Cincinnati Police District One officers are asking for help in finding Ashley Herron, a missing 34-year-old Cincinnati woman who was reported missing on Jan. 8. Herron was last seen on Dec. 26 on the 1600 block of Race Street in Over-the-Rhine. The department asks anyone with information on Herron's whereabouts to call Detective Nikki Oliver with the District One Investigative Unit at (513) 352-4567. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Cincinnati Police Chief Terri Theetge was formally sworn in as the new Cincinnati police chief on Jan. 9. Theetge is the first woman to be named police chief in the history of the Cincinnati Police Department. The ceremony was held at the Cincinnati Museum Center. (FOX19)
- Ali, an 18-year-old aardvark from the Cincinnati Zoo, received a life-saving blood transfusion from Kiazi, a nine-year-old aardvark at the Columbus Zoo. Ali needed the transfusion because of an infection stemming from a prior surgery. Ali is "slowly improving" according to Cincinnati Zoo Associate Veterinarian Jess Heinz. (NBC4 WCMH-TV)
