Cincinnati Public Schools' stadiums were lit up over five nights in April to honor the Class of 2020, which is experiencing a senior year cut short by the COVID-19 shutdown.

CPS' Athletics Department connected with Steve Ellison and Jeff Wiles, who are leading the district's Virtual Athletics plan, to collaborate with CPS' Athletic Directors who have stadiums on their high school campuses.
Be the Light Ohio initiative happened over five nights, April 14-18, 2020, at five CPS stadiums on the Withrow, Western Hills, Taft, Woodward and Walnut Hills campuses.

The tall, bright lights — and scoreboards lit up with the number 20 — especially saluted senior athletes who missed out on the spring sports season.
"We appreciate you, we recognize the hard work you put in, and we want to shine the light for you," said CPS' Athletics Manager Joshua Hardin.
"These lights today show that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel, and we will come out stronger after all this is over," said Ellison, Athletic Director at Walnut Hills High School.
