Cincinnati Schools Extend Lottery Deadlines

Cincinnati Public Schools will accept applications into its online magnet and high school lotteries until May 8, an extension due to CPS closing for COVID-19 prevention.

The Magnet Lottery opens its Round 3 on Tuesday, March 17. The High School Lottery opened its Round 2 on March 10 and is scheduled to open Round 3 on April 28. (Each lottery is open through three rounds; only applications not already submitted in Round 1 may enter in subsequent rounds.)

Many parents use CPS computers at schools and the Central Office to enter the lotteries. CPS is closing all schools and the Central Office until April 6 (a tentative date set for reopening) to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
