Here are the top 4 stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Catholic school enrollment numbers are starting to rebound in some of the country's largest dioceses, including the archdiocese of Cincinnati. For its size, the Queen City has a "disproportionately large number of Catholic school students," according to the National Catholic Educational Association. This year, Cincinnati Catholic schools have nearly 40,000 students enrolled, representing a 1.5 percent increase from the previous year. However, that may change as the archdiocese continues its process of consolidating the 200-plus Cincinnati parishes into just 53 "families." (The Catholic Telegraph)
  2. Police are still searching for two suspects who allegedly assaulted a Wendy's employee nearly two months ago and are now facing felony charges. On Dec. 10, 2021, two women entered the Wendy's in Glenway Plaza to confront an employee about the way their food was handed to them at the drive-thru window. The employee sustained a fractured leg and a torn ligament as a result of the altercation. Police ask anyone who is able to identify the suspects in a surveillance video to call District Three at (513) 263-8300. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  3. On Saturday, Cincinnati police arrested a suspect connected to a fatal October shooting in Over-the-Rhine. Quintin Stanley, 32, was arrested on an open murder warrant in the death ofArthur Campbell, 38. Stanley reportedly shot Campbell in his car at 43 E. McMicken Ave. on the morning of Oct. 17. (WCPO)
