Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- On Saturday night, a Cincinnati native was crowned Miss Ohio 2022 at the Renaissance Theatre. Miss Maple City Elizabetta Nies, 19, received a $10,000 scholarship, among other gifts and awards for her accomplishments. Nies also took home the preliminary talent award this past Thursday night for her rendition of Chopin's Etude Opus 10 No. 5 "Black Keys Etude." (The Cincinnati Enquirer)
- If you're headed downtown, don't miss the city's newest interactive kiosks, designed as an informational hub for residents and visitors alike. The IKE (Interactive Kiosk Experience) project is the result of a zero-cost partnership between IKE Smart City, 3CDC, and the City of Cincinnati. Five kiosks have been installed so far, with up to 25 more expected to grace the city's downtown area. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
- Coney Island Park canceled its Friday night world record attempt for "most people down a water slide." According to Jackie Reau, spokesperson for Coney Island, the event was canceled due to a "credible security threat that was later found to be false." Park officials report the event, which started Friday at noon, was meant to run through noon on Saturday at Sunlite Water Adventure. (FOX19)
