Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Yesterday morning, a Cincinnati police officer reportedly shot and killed a suspect in the Christian Jones murder case. Jones was found shot dead inside of his car last week. The suspect was shot while trying to flee a family's home in Covington, where they had been hiding. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
- A tri-state tradition returned this weekend after a two-year pandemic hiatus. On Sunday, Sacred Heart Church held its "Original Italian Dinner" as a take-out-only event and began running out of the 80,000 raviolis, 12,000 meatballs, 1,200 quarts of tomato sauce, and hundreds of containers of cheese in a few short hours. This beloved community tradition is over 100 years old and all proceeds go back to the Massachusetts Avenue church. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
- Looking for a new place to bring your furry friend? The area's first bar and dog park, BARk Park & Patio, is opening on Apr. 23 in Florence, Kentucky, less than 20 minutes from Cincinnati. Patrons will be able to enjoy 18 craft brews and two wines from the self-serve taproom. According to City Beat, guests must sign a waiver prior to entering the park, and their dogs will need a day pass or monthly membership to play. (City Beat)
