Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- The City of Cincinnati is considering reducing the number of police headquarters from five to three. - Crews are working to repair the sinkhole ranging from 13 to 20 feet deep at 8th and Walnut streets that has caused a partial block off of the road downtown. City officials stated that the sinkhole was caused by a sewer line collapse. As of press, two lanes are closed because of the sinkhole. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Five hundred thousand visitors are expected to take part in Taste of Cincinnati, the annual event that celebrates Cincinnati's unofficial kick-off to summer, this weekend. This is the first time in two years that the event will be held in person due to the pandemic. More than 300 menu items will be served by 36 restaurants and 19 food trucks. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
