🌱 Cold Weather On The Horizon + Cincinnati Hospitals At Capacity

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cincinnati.

Hi all. I'm back in your inbox this morning with your fresh edition of the Cincinnati Daily. Let's get this Tuesday started off right, with a quick review of the most important things happening in town these days.

But first, today's weather:

Rather cloudy and breezy. High: 63 Low: 41.

Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:

  1. It's looking to be a rough and rainy week in Cincinnati! While temperatures today will climb to 60 degrees, clouds will soon bring in cold fronts and some thunderstorms. By Wednesday, the temperature will fall a whopping 20 degrees. The cold front is expected to last into the weekend. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  2. Three hospitals in and around Cincinnati have requested that emergency medical services divert patients to other locations. This has taken place over the last 48 hours, in response to a sharp increase in flu hospitalizations. Hospital officials worry that further patients could prove catastrophic for the overall system. Bon Secours Mercy Health's Jewish Hospital, UC Health's University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and West Chester Hospital have all reported being at capacity. (The Cincinnati Enquirer)
  3. A man who was shot in North College Hill on Saturday night has died, according to officials. 32-year-old Maurice Searcy was found lying on his side with no pulse near Sundale and Savannah. He had been shot multiple times. Searcy was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police are investigating the incident. (FOX19)
