Connect Cincinnati Public Schools' Students To Bring Free Wi-Fi To Students

The free internet, and take-home iPads and laptops provided by CPS, are for students to do schoolwork at home.

Nearly 6,000 homes of Cincinnati Public Schools' students have been hooked up to free internet service since July, thanks to the Connect Our Students partnership with Cincinnati Bell.

The program continues to be available to all CPS students. It began for students in five schools, then expanded quickly to include all CPS schools.

The free internet, and take-home iPads and laptops provided by CPS, are for students to do schoolwork at home. The free home internet is a limited service with federal Child Internet Protection Act restrictions in place and a download speed of 20 Mbps or 5 Mbps depending on the home's wiring.
