🌱 Cupid's Undie Run + CPS Monitors Student Chats + 4-Car Crash

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cincinnati.

Morning, neighbors! It's me again, Sean Peek, your host of the Cincinnati Daily.

First, today's weather:

Partly sunny. High: 33 Low: 26.

Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. If you're feeling a bit daring this Valentine's Day, Cupid's Undie Run is coming to Cincinnati on Feb. 12. The pantsless party will begin at Galla Park for a brief mile run, with drinks and dancing to follow. 100% of proceeds will go to neurofibromatosis research through the Children's Tumor Foundation (CTF). (Cincinnati CityBeat)
  2. Cincinnati Public Schools students are using virtual communication more than ever before, and CPS staff are working to keep them safe as they do. The district is constantly monitoring chats that occur on their communication platform, Gaggle, and an algorithm screens for keywords that could signal trouble for young learners. While the screening technology has helped students who have been struggling with bullying or their mental health, the algorithm isn't perfect and has caused "false alarms" for some students. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  3. Cincinnati police are investigating a four-vehicle crash that hospitalized two people late Thursday night. A male in a reportedly stolen vehicle was seen driving "at crazy speeds" along Glenway Avenue, during which he lost control of the vehicle while going down a hill. The driver struck and flipped a parked car, causing a chain-reaction crash that impacted two more vehicles. (WXIX)
