Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Several Cincinnati landmarks participated in Earth Hour on Saturday. The Hard Rock Casino and Duke Energy Convention Center darkened their signs as a way of showing their support for the planet. They joined millions of people and organizations around the globe who observed Earth Hour. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  2. Cosmic Gorilla on Race Street has been honored with a national award. The local business, which is part comic book shop and part bar, has been recognized as "the most original bar concept" by the National Bar and Restaurant Expo. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  3. Marilyn Kirby, the founder of Everyone's Records in Cincinnati's Pleasant Ridge neighborhood, has passed away at the age of 71. When she opened Everyone's Records in 1978 she was the only woman in the tri-state area to own a record store. "She was a miraculous person she treated all of our people very well," said Harry Lushey, a longtime friend of Kirby and an employee of Everyone's Records since its opening. (WLWT Cincinnati)
