🌱 Eight Women To Be Honored In YWCA Broadcast + Blue Door Bash Return

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cincinnati.

Good morning, everybody. It's Monday in Cincinnati and I'm back in your inbox to get you caught up on all the most important things happening locally. Let's have at it...

First, today's weather:

Some brightening. High: 67 Low: 52.

Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:

  1. Multiple Cincinnati-area women are been recognized as outstanding role models at the YWCA Greater Cincinnati's 43rd annual program. The eight women have been selected as the honorees for the 2022 YWCA Greater Cincinnati Career Women of Achievement. The Women of Achievement program — which airs Thursday, May 26 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on WCPO 9 — will also highlight local efforts of the non-profit to create a more equitable community. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
  2. For the first time in three years, The Blue Door Bash came back! This fundraiser is a signature event for the Boys and Girls Club of Cincinnati, raising money to support different programs for the organization, including counseling, tutoring services, and field trips. This year, the theme was casino night and was held in Paul Brown Stadium. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  3. On Thursday, the Board of Park Commissioners voted to appoint longtime Cincinnati Recreation Committee (CRC) employee Steve Pacella as interim director of Cincinnati Parks, effective Jun. 1. A native Cincinnatian, Pacella comes to the Park Board from the CRC, where he currently serves as deputy director. He has 30 years of recreation leadership experience, the last 14 of which have been with CRC. (Spectrum News 1)
