- The Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is holding a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic today, Dec. 29. The clinic will be held at the Cincinnati Museum Center's Union Terminal and is geared to kids ages 5 to 11. However, older children and adults are also eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine or a flu vaccine at no charge. No appointment is necessary, and anyone receiving a vaccine will receive free parking and admission to the Museum Center. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- A man and a woman have been charged in connection with the death of a 5-month-old boy after he was found unresponsive in his home on Sunnyhill Drive last week. Officers initially arrested the child's parents, Shakayla Sams and Donte Farrier, on child endangerment charges. Both Sams and Farrier now face murder charges in their son's death after investigators discovered that they were responsible for injuries to the boy over a period of several months. Bond was set at $200,000 for both suspects. (WXIX)
- Penguins at the Cincinnati Zoo are preparing for their annual march through the zoo grounds. The king penguins will perform their parade each weekend through February as long as temperatures remain below 50 degrees. The penguins can choose whether or not to participate in the parades, which will begin outside of the Wings of the World Bird House. (WLWT Cincinnati)
