🌱 Good Samaritan Hospital + Blink Returning + Clearing Roads

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Cincinnati.

Up and at 'em, Cincinnati! It's Saturday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on today in Cincinnati.

Editor's Note: Yesterday's edition of the Cincinnati Daily incorrectly referred to Mayor Pureval as the Mayor of Cleveland. We apologize for the error and have corrected the live article on Patch.com.

First, today's weather:

Very cold with clouds and sun. High: 25 Low: 10.

Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:

  1. More than 100 Good Samaritan Hospital employees, including their president, vice president, and leadership team, stayed the night to care for patients. Heavy sleet transitioned to snow through the night and into Friday morning, causing the employees to bunk at the hospital. During their stay, employees served meals and anything else that was needed to make sure their patients were taken care of. (WLWT Cincinnati)
  2. City of Cincinnati Department of Public Services workers are finding it difficult to ensure the roads are cleared after "one of the most challenging" winter storms. Around 60 drivers were out trying to clear the streets and reported that low temperatures are posing a challenge. Superintendent of Traffic & Road Operations Jarrod Bolden has asked anyone who does not have to be on the roads to remain at home until crews can clear the roads. (Fox19)
  3. Blink will be returning to Cincinnati in fall 2022. The organizers of the arts, light, and culture event made the announcement on Friday and will announce dates on Monday. The four-night event is produced by Agar, ArtWorks, Brave Berlin, the Haile Foundation, and the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. (Cincinnati.com)
