Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- More suburban districts around the Greater Cincinnati area are investing in and putting up high-tech cameras to help police solve crimes. Blue Ash Police Chief Scott Noel started testing Flock safety cameras to combat the increase in car thefts. The cameras, which reads the license plates of every passing vehicle, alert police to stolen cars within 15 seconds. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Bird and Lime is hoping that the city of Cincinnati will retract new regulations imposing curfews on e-scooters. Previously the e-scooters were operational until 11 p.m.; however, the new regulations require a closing time of 6 p.m. The company is working with the City to address the concerns. - Cincinnati Animal CARE is taking part in Bissell Pet Foundation's "empty the shelter" event by waiving adoption fees for all dogs over 6 months old and over 25 pounds. The program, which runs from May 2 - 8, seeks to combat overcrowding. Standard adoption and screening protocols remain in place. (WLWT Cincinnati)
