Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Former WCPO-TV and WLWT-TV producer Jenn Moore received the prestigious Gracie Award for leading the team that produced Houston's KHOU-TV's 'Juneteeth' special. Moore left Cincinnati television in 2018 to try to make it in a Top 10 TV market. "This was a labor of love project that was hard to put together," said Moore. (WVXU)
- Human sewage has been seeping up from the ground at United American Cemetery, one of Ohio's oldest African-American cemeteries. The cemetery is maintained by Cincinnati's Union Baptist Church which suspects the leakage is coming from Fifth Third Bank Madisonville Office Building, which borders the cemetery uphill to the east. The contaminated grounds have caused the cemetery to be closed to the public for nearly a year. (WVXU)
- A 4th of July fireworks show in Washington Park went awry on Monday night when, according to witnesses, the cannons started shooting towards the crowd. A video captured footage of fireworks hitting trees and bouncing near the crowd of spectators. The show was quickly canceled and no immediate injuries were reported. (WLWT Cincinnati)
