Join John P. Parker School For Read Across Madisonville Family Literacy Night

John P. Parker Elementary School, Rising Stars of America (RSOA) and the Madisonville Education & Assistance Center (MEAC) are hosting Read Across Madisonville Family Literacy Night "It's A Family Affair" from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 13, at Artsville, 5021 Whetsel Avenue, 45227.

The educational, yet entertaining, family-friendly event is free and open to the public, but online registration is recommended. Face coverings must be worn to enter the venue.

The event will include the following:

• Special performance by Michelle Hughes
  • Michelle Hughes is an energetic presenter, author, singer, songwriter and passionate educator who enjoys interacting with school leaders, staff and families. Her mission in life is to improve the lives of others through song, word or deeds. Currently, she fulfills that mission in the marketplace as an educational consultant and as the editorial assistant for the Journal of Marriage and Family Review, an international journal in family science.
• After-Glow Session with Author
• Raffles and giveaways
• Light dinner and refreshments
