Hello all. I'm back in your inbox this summer morning to walk you through all the most important things happening in Cincinnati.
First, today's weather:
More clouds than sun. High: 82 Low: 62.
Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:
- Police were on the scene of a shooting at the intersection of Blair Avenue and Woodburn Avenue in Evanston on Wednesday evening, Jul. 27 where at least two people were shot. The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. A detective on the scene said that one person was shot in the leg and another was shot in the chest. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- Rounds of rain are expected for the Ohio Valley as a stalled front remains across the area. Showers and storms will become widespread Friday morning with heavy rains possible locally. Temperatures will reach the low to mid-80s with lows around 70 and things will get drier by the afternoon. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- U.S. District Court Judge Matthew McFarland on Wednesday blocked the Biden administration from enforcing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate globally on service members in the Air Force, Space Force, and Air National Guard who requested religious exemptions for the foreseeable future. The federal judge's preliminary injunction prevents the military from discharging or disciplining service members. Judge McFarland has criticized the Air Force for sweepingly rejecting each exemption request and failing to carefully consider the merits of each. (FOX19)
