Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- A part of Mount Airy Forest has been renamed to honor Cindee Walsh's dedication to her community. The renaming took place during a special ceremony on Friday that included family members, friends, city officials, and police officers. Walsh, known as the "unofficial mayor" of Mount Airy, is a Master Gardner and volunteer, and has served on almost every organization in the area. (FOX19)
- Cincinnati's mass marijuana expungement initiative has hit a snag because of a state law prohibiting the solicitor's office from acting as legal counsel for expungement seekers. The city has been planning to expunge convictions of about 5,9000 people charged with nonviolent misdemeanors of possessing less than one hundred grams of marijuana. The city will now look at other options such as making changes at the state level and creating a public search function to allow people to see if they are eligible for expungement. (WVXU)
- A pour-your-own bar plans to open near the Loveland Bike Trail. Hops & Berry will be opening at 118 Karl Brown Way with 60 taps featuring beer, wine, and seltzer. The bar plans to open by the end of April. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
