Ohio Connections Academy Recognizes Cincinnati Student

Star Student Award recognizes students for achievement in and out of the virtual classroom

Rosemary Morris of Cincinnati, was recently named one of Ohio Connections Academy’s (OCA) Star Students of the Month for February in recognition of her academic achievements and leadership.

Rosemary, a sixth-grade student at the statewide online public charter school, was nominated by her teacher Ms. Wuest due to her hard work and positive attitude towards school. As a Star Student, Rosemary will be presented a certificate recognizing her achievement and be profiled in Ohio Connections Academy’s student newsletter and on the school’s website. Each month OCA recognizes two students in each of the four grade bands for their achievements in and out of the classroom.

Rosemary has been attending OCA since 2016 as she was experiencing challenges at her previous school that negatively impacted her confidence. Her mother Meredith said the virtual classroom has enabled her daughter to be a unique student and to work at a pace that is right for her. In her spare time Rosemary sculpts, designs clothing and participates in gardening and farming projects.
