Here are the top three stories today in Cincinnati:

  1. The City of Cincinnati will be holding a public forum series to discuss pedestrian safety. The first forum will be held at the Hirsch Recreation Center on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. The City Council will develop a Safer Streets plan to address concerns across all of the city's neighborhoods. (WKRC TV Cincinnati)
  2. The National Weather Service has placed Cincinnati under a flood advisory until Wednesday due to excessive rainfall hitting the region. The Ohio River might rise 1 to 2 feet during this period. The river is currently at 50.1 feet but once it hits 52 feet, it is considered flooded. (The Cincinnati Enquirer)
  3. Cincinnati's roads are covered in potholes but transportation agencies are working around the clock to fill them. The potholes were caused by the drastic winter weather that has been hitting the city with periods of unseasonably high temperatures scattered in. The changes in temperature cause the concrete to contract and expand causing holes to form. The city will be offering crews overtime to fix the issue. (Spectrum News 1)
